\nThe Foundation\u2019s approach is to fund projects directly when we believe they align with our mission, rather than funding associations that in turn fund projects.
\nIn this spirit, we accepted the request from Dr. Martin Tsemzanz Sopjio, an orthopedic physician working under contract in Italy who also runs a small surgical clinic in Douala, Cameroon, with the aim of supporting vulnerable people without financial resources.
\nThe neonatology department has no ultrasound scanner with a pediatric probe, and we felt it appropriate to respond to this request.
