Il Paddock is a volunteer association with its registered office at Via Decumana 2, 40133 Bologna, Italian tax code 92019210373.

Founded in 1992 and listed in the regional register of volunteer organizations, it provides equine-assisted rehabilitation and pre-sport horse riding for people with disabilities.

Since 2004, it has operated at the equestrian facilities at Via Raffaello Sanzio 8 (Centro Sportivo Barca) in Bologna, after being granted a twenty-year concession by the Municipality of Bologna for a plot of land within the Reno River Park.
It is submitting to Fondazione Irma Romagnoli a project entitled “Riding into Summer.”

Beneficiaries:

Children enrolled in equine-assisted rehabilitation activities.

Goals and objectives:

To offer children with certified disabilities, referred by the Bologna Local Health Authority’s services and already attending winter equine-assisted rehabilitation courses, opportunities to socialize during summer camps held at the riding center.

Project timeline, delivery, and location:

Summer camps will take place during the weeks of June 9–13 and June 16–20 for children enrolled in horse-riding courses, led by instructors from the Il Centauro amateur sports group.
Sports and recreational activities will take place at the stables from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During these days, selected participants in the equine-assisted rehabilitation courses will be offered four-hour sessions in which they can take part in recreational and sporting activities alongside their horse-riding peers.

Expected results and benefits:

To build on the benefits achieved during the winter courses by promoting inclusion and social interaction with peers without disabilities.
The selected children will be supported by qualified staff from the Il Paddock association.

Project costs

Six sessions of four hours each at €20 per hour
One hour for the final report at €20

TOTAL: €500.00.
