Fondazione Irma Romagnoli regularly receives requests to fund aid projects.
The Foundation’s approach is to fund projects directly when we believe they align with our mission, rather than funding associations that in turn fund projects.
In this spirit, we accepted the request from Dr. Martin Tsemzanz Sopjio, an orthopedic physician working under contract in Italy who also runs a small surgical clinic in Douala, Cameroon, with the aim of supporting vulnerable people without financial resources.
The neonatology department has no ultrasound scanner with a pediatric probe, and we felt it appropriate to respond to this request.
