FRIENDS OF NICOLÒ ZACCHINI COMMITTEE

WHO WE ARE

Nicolò is a classmate and friend of our children who grew up in our neighborhood. Through spending time with the children, now teenagers, we also became friends with his parents, Renato and Alessandra, who sadly both died prematurely within a short time of each other: his father in 2019 and his mother in July 2022. This is how our committee got its name. We aim to offer Nicolò emotional and practical support, in agreement with his aunt and uncle, who live far from the city. These circumstances have helped us discover a sense of togetherness: with the parents of his teammates at ASD Barcareno, with his classmates and their parents, and, of course, with his relatives. We saw an opportunity for mutual support, as parents who care deeply about our children. Anyone can help support Nicolò’s education and growth. The most effective way is to make a monthly financial contribution, whether large, small, or symbolic, to the account dedicated to him and held in the name of “COMITATO AMICI DI NICOLO’ ZACCHINI” at BPER bank, via Battindarno 2 branch, BOLOGNA.

Dear President, I am writing on behalf of the Friends of Nicolò Zacchini Committee, of which I am President and legal representative. For completeness, the Committee was established on July 20, 2022, and on July 22, 2022, the Italian Revenue Agency’s Bologna 1 office assigned it the tax identification number indicated above.

Below is a brief introduction to our organization and its aims.

Nicolò is a classmate and friend of our children. He has turned 14 and grew up in our neighborhood. Sadly, within a short time he lost both parents, who died prematurely: his father in 2019 and his mother in July 2022.

Our committee is working to provide Nicolò with emotional and practical support, in agreement with his aunt and uncle, who live far from our city.

These circumstances have helped us discover a sense of togetherness: with the parents of his teammates at ASD Barcareno, with his classmates and their parents, and, of course, with his relatives. We saw an opportunity for mutual support, as parents who care deeply about our children.

His mother’s death required several changes to existing plans, including his schooling. This is the particular need we would like to discuss with your Foundation. Given his young age and the fact that he is starting upper secondary school, we agreed with his relatives, social services, and above all Nicolò himself that he should have the opportunity to attend the Istituto Salesiano della Beata Vergine di San Luca, where annual fees are approximately €4,600.00. We believe this school can provide a supportive environment sensitive to Nicolò’s particular circumstances.

The beneficiary of the project is Nicolò Zacchini himself. Under its statutes, our Committee allocates all funds raised to supporting Nicolò.

The project’s specific aim is to raise sufficient funds to cover the costs of completing his education, which is expected to continue for at least the next five years.

We would be grateful for a contribution, whether recurring or one-time, and will report on how the funds received are used.
