Interfaith conference: “Happiness in This Life and the Afterlife”

Conference on October 5 at Palazzo Segni Masetti.

To mark Tibetan Lama Jamba Monlam Tamang’s visit to Italy, Fondazione Irma Romagnoli has organized a conference entitled “Happiness in This Life and the Afterlife,” opening a discussion through contributions from representatives of different cultures and religions.

The public event will take place on October 5 at 5 p.m. in the Carracci Hall of Palazzo Segni Masetti, Strada Maggiore 23, provided by ConfCommercio ASCOM BOLOGNA.
Lama Jamba Monlam Tamang, born in Tibet eighty-five years ago and now living in Nepal, is visiting Italy for the fifth time. In recent years, he has shared his religious teachings in several European countries and the United States. Joining him will be Alberto Sermoneta, Rabbi of Bologna’s Jewish Community; Dr. Hamid Bichri, an expert in Islamic culture and religion; and Father Francesco Pieri, professor of patristics and early Church history at the Theological Faculty of Emilia Romagna.

Erus Sangiorgi, President of Fondazione Irma Romagnoli, will also participate. The Foundation grew from Irma’s love and solidarity for vulnerable beings and her passionate care for those who sought her help.

“With that same spirit of solidarity and openness,” says Erus Sangiorgi, “we wanted to promote this October 5 meeting among some of the world’s most widespread religions, knowing that only dialogue, respect, and mutual understanding can help people live happy lives.”

Fondazione Irma Romagnoli currently funds projects in Italy supporting people with disabilities and their families, and the construction of a pediatric ward in Cameroon, where it has already established a telemedicine service. It also promotes a sponsorship project enabling children in Nepal whose potential is held back by circumstances to continue their education.

The Irma Romagnoli Foundation was born from an act of love.

The love that Irma Romagnoli felt for all defenseless beings.

The love that drove her to devote herself passionately to caring for those who asked for her help, thanks to the discovery of an innate energy that made her a respected pranotherapist, recommended even by medical specialists.

The Irma Romagnoli Foundation was established in accordance with her last wishes. Irma, who used to say “I ask for nothing and refuse nothing”, left all her assets to the Foundation so that it could continue, in her name, to care for the defenceless, especially children in need and their families, and to support research into traditional medicine.
