A tribute to Italian songwriting

THE MUSIC ALL AROUND US is an affectionate tribute to the great poet-songwriters who, from the 1960s to today, have told us about life through their songs, continually offering new ways of seeing reality. It celebrates poetry in music and music infused with poetry.
It is also a magical meeting of people, a testimony to intertwined passions for music and life that produce surprising results.

“…Unlike almost all musical projects appearing at Italian festivals and concert series, this project brought together professional and amateur musicians with very different musical abilities. They exchanged experiences and enriched one another in an atmosphere of solidarity and mutual respect. Beyond the excellent musical results, this may be the most interesting and rewarding aspect of the venture: proof that art, freed from show-business mechanisms and practiced cooperatively without competition, can be an exceptional means of personal and social growth…”

Fondazione Irma Romagnoli was born from an act of love.
Irma’s love for all vulnerable beings inspired her passionate care for those who sought her help. “I ask for nothing and refuse nothing,” she used to say. When she died at 96, she left all her possessions to the Foundation so it could continue caring for children in need and their families.
For several years, the Foundation has supported projects helping children with disabilities in Italy and sponsoring children in Nepal. This event raises funds for children at St. Xavier’s School in Kathmandu whose potential is held back by circumstances and who can continue their education with our help.

Coming from Imola along Via Lughese, pass Mordano and cross the railway toward Lugo. After the sharp right bend, Via Canalazzo is the first left—watch for the tight turn. The house is on the left, approximately 1 km ahead.
