Spirit, Nature and Silence
10 NIGHTS – 11 DAYS

This is more than a journey. It is time to breathe, listen to yourself and slow down.
Among Nepal’s temples and mountains, we will rediscover the power of silence, the value of taking things slowly and the beauty of simple spirituality in everyday gestures. Through breathing practices, sounds, cooking, walking and encounters, we will care for ourselves.
An invitation to travel respectfully, lightly and, above all, with presence.
Every stage of this journey is designed to guide you towards a deep connection with Nepal, its spirituality, its landscapes and its people. This is more than a tourist itinerary: it is a mindful journey. An invitation to slow down, breathe and listen.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Vittoria, your Italian contact throughout the trip, will also be there to welcome you. She will guide you step by step, sharing stories, practices and special moments.
For anyone wishing to release travel tension and get their energy flowing, we will do a simple Pranayama practice, a yoga breathing technique that relaxes and revitalises.
At sunset, we will immerse ourselves in the spirituality of Boudhanath, walking alongside Tibetan monks and pilgrims circling the Stupa, surrounded by bells, mantras and prayer wheels. An intense moment introducing us to the depth of this place.
- Legend has it that a devout elderly Buddhist woman asked the King for a small piece of land on which to build a temple. Somewhat puzzled, he granted her a space the size of a woollen jumper. She unravelled the jumper and used its thread to mark a much larger perimeter than expected. On that land rose the magnificent Stupa, now a major Buddhist cultural centre and UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by more than fifty monasteries. Here we can feel the strength of this simple, powerful faith.
- At 7 pm, we will end the day with a Welcome Dinner in a small restaurant overlooking the Stupa.
Day 2 – Herbs, Flavours and Spirituality

- We begin with a Pranayama practice from 7:30 to 8:15 am in the quiet of the Guest House: a time to listen and mindfully awaken body and breath. Please note that all breathing sessions are optional, though we warmly recommend them!
- After breakfast, we will visit Himalayan Herbal Preparation, a laboratory that for over twenty years has continued a family tradition of more than 800 years of producing natural Ayurvedic remedies. Some products are now exported to Italy and other European countries. For many years it has also hosted courses for doctors, naturopaths and anyone wishing to learn the basics of Traditional Ayurvedic Medicine. Here we will discover how spices can become medicine, and how to choose and use ingredients according to the season, body constitution and inner balance. We will learn to make ghee, a clarified butter regarded as sacred and healing, and cook together some typical Nepalese dishes.
- Lunch will be the result of our work in the kitchen: simple, authentic and shared.
- At 3:30 pm a very special place awaits us: Pashupatinath Temple, a sixth-century Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva on the banks of the Bagmati River. This is an intense, sacred place where Life and Death coexist. Considered Nepal’s most important temple, it attracts pilgrims from across India. In the lower part, we will witness cremation rituals. We will enter from the quieter, less touristy upper section, accompanied by deer, cows, dogs and monkeys living in harmony, savour the peace among the small temples and then descend towards the river. There we will witness Arati, a ceremony of fire and music: an ancient, profound ritual open to everyone, where dancing flames accompany mantras and traditional instruments against the backdrop of the temple’s golden roofs. This is a living act of devotion, rather than a tourist event.
- Legend has it that Shiva liked to graze in the upper area in the form of a deer. Until a few years ago, alchemists and gurus lived here among dozens of small temples. Here, silence feels like peace.
- Return to the Guest House and a free evening*. There are many small restaurants nearby where you can eat and stroll peacefully. *(This meal is not included in the trip.)
Day 3 – Dawn, Awareness and Transformative Sounds

- The day starts early! At 5:30 am, we walk to Boudhanath Stupa to attend the Morning Puja. In every monastery, monks begin chanting before dawn. We will be surrounded by mantras, the scent of offerings and the light slowly illuminating the great Stupa. This activity is also optional, but we believe it is a unique opportunity that will stay in your heart: sitting alongside young monks who exchange glances and smiles with you over breakfast, accompanied by the resonating mantras that reach into the soul. It is a special moment, difficult to describe, experienced in silence and wonder.
- After returning, at 7:30 am, we practise Pranayama together, followed by breakfast.
- At 10 am, we return to the Ayurvedic Laboratory. Today we will prepare two traditional natural remedies in a simple, practical session. One is Triphala, used for cleansing and as a tonic. The other is a herbal digestive remedy made with local plants. We will clean, grind and mix the plants using mortars and pestles until we can form pills: a direct hands-on experience connecting us with ancient herbal knowledge.
- Lunch* at your leisure (*This meal is not included in the trip.)
- At 3 pm we meet to visit one of the valley’s most fascinating places: Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. It stands on a hill overlooking Kathmandu. Buddhism and Hinduism coexist harmoniously here, among prayer flags, statues, small stupas and curious monkeys moving among the pilgrims.
- At 6 pm we will share an intense experience: a Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Bath. Lying down in complete relaxation, we will let the deep vibrations of bowls and gongs surround us. An experience that calms the mind, rebalances the body and leaves a feeling of lightness and presence.
- Dinner* and a free evening in Thamel, Kathmandu’s lively, colourful neighbourhood. Anyone wishing can join Vittoria after dinner for a visit to Durbar Square. Silence and night give shape and power to its magnificent temples, creating a magical atmosphere. (*This meal is not included in the trip.)
Day 4 – Ancient Cities and Endless Horizons

- As every morning, we begin with a short Pranayama session from 8 to 8:45 am. Time for yourself, to breathe and regain balance and presence.
- After breakfast, we travel to Bhaktapur, one of the Kathmandu Valley’s three ancient royal cities, known as the city of devotees. Founded in the eighth century and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bhaktapur is an architectural jewel. We will walk along red-brick lanes, past ancient temples, pottery workshops and woodcarvers. It will feel as though time has stopped, with every stone telling a story. This is where Bernardo Bertolucci filmed scenes from Little Buddha.
- Lunch in a local restaurant, enjoying traditional Newari dishes, the cuisine of Bhaktapur’s original inhabitants.
- At 3 pm we head towards the mountains on a journey of around 90 minutes to Nagarkot, a small village at an altitude of 2,500 metres. It offers one of the most striking views of the Himalayas. If the sky is clear, we may glimpse snow-capped peaks, including Annapurna and even Everest in the distance.
- We will stay in a simple, welcoming mountain-lodge-style resort, surrounded by silence and fresh mountain air.
- Dinner and overnight stay in Nagarkot.
Day 5 – Walking and Authentic Encounters

- At 7:30 am, we meet for our usual Pranayama session in Nagarkot’s fresh air.
- After breakfast, we begin a short trek with a local guide, following a gentle descent through cultivated terraces, Newari villages, rice fields and children playing on enormous swings. Sharing a glance, a smile and sometimes chai and local snacks spontaneously offered by villagers will be a profound and unforgettable experience. Our destination is Changunarayan, an ancient village with one of Nepal’s oldest Hindu temples, dedicated to Vishnu and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The walk takes 3–4 hours, with a stop in an enchanting fir forest for our packed lunch.
The village of Changuanarayan is off the tourist trail but full of charm. Its workshops, narrow uphill streets and peaceful temple make it seem as if time has truly stood still. - Return to Kathmandu in the afternoon and a free evening.* (*This meal is not included in the trip.)
Day 6 – The Journey Continues: Off to Pokhara

- At 7:30 am, as every day, we begin with breathing practice.
- At 9 am we leave for Pokhara, one of Nepal’s most beloved cities, on a domestic flight.
- Arrival is expected in the early afternoon. We settle into the hotel and at 4 pm meet to release travel tension with a short session of gentle yoga, stretching and relaxation.
- At sunset we will stroll along the shores of Lake Phewa, whose tranquil waters reflect Annapurna’s snow-capped peaks. A magical place inviting us to slow down and contemplate.
- Lunch and dinner at your own expense*, and overnight stay in Pokhara. (*Neither meal is included in the trip.)
Day 7 – Caves, Waterfalls and Lakes

- At 8 am we meet for our daily Pranayama amid the tranquillity of Pokhara: today is devoted to exploring the surrounding area.
- In the morning we visit Devil’s Falls, where water plunges into a deep cave. Nearby is a small temple dedicated to Shiva, which we will also visit.
- The afternoon is free. For those wishing to discover more beautiful places, we recommend Rupa Lake, a quieter lake than Phewa, surrounded by forests and hills. Annapurna’s peaks are reflected in its deep-blue waters, creating a picture-postcard scene.
- Lunch and dinner at your own expense.* (*Neither meal is included in the trip.)
- Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 8 – Relaxation, Adventure and Unique Views

- At 8 am, as usual, we begin the day with Pranayama.
- After a good breakfast, the day is yours! A perfect opportunity to relax or explore independently!
> We warmly recommend a walk to Shanti Stupa, on a hill with spectacular views of the lake. Alternatively, enjoy a boat trip or simply stroll along the shore, surrounded by the peace and beauty of the landscape. - Lunch and dinner at your own expense.* (*Neither meal is included in the trip.)
Day 9 – On the Way Back: A Stop in Bandipur

- Pranayama at 7:30 am, then we begin our return to Kathmandu.
- To break up the journey, we will stop in Bandipur, an ancient hill town on the old route between India and Tibet. Once an important trading centre, it retains the charm of Newari architecture and beautiful mountain views. Magar communities, one of Nepal’s oldest peoples, still live here. A brief but meaningful stop that adds another dimension to our journey.
- Lunch at your own expense*
- Afternoon arrival in Kathmandu and check-in at the Guest House.
- Dinner at your own expense* (*Neither meal is included in the trip.)
Day 10 – The Artistic Soul of Patan

- As always, we begin with breathing: Pranayama at 8 am.
- At 10 am, we leave for Patan, the ancient royal city south of Kathmandu. We will visit Durbar Square, with its temples, courtyards and a beautiful museum telling the story of Nepal’s sacred art. Patan is also full of craft workshops, perfect for buying locally made goods: a way both to support the community and to take home something authentically Nepalese, for yourself or to share with loved ones.
- Free afternoon to walk, explore and, if you wish, SHOP!
- At 5 pm, in the quiet of the Guest House, there will be a private concert of traditional and sacred Nepalese music performed by a local group, remarkable for the intensity and elegance of its playing. A gentle, profound closing moment.
- Lunch and dinner at your own expense.* (*Neither meal is included in the trip.)
Day 11 – Departures

- Our last breakfast together. Depending on flight times, there will be transfers to the airport.
We say our goodbyes peacefully, taking with us the beauty, sounds, smiles, silences and emotions of this journey.
An experience that continues, even after you return
