While we look forward to thanking you in person, we confirm that we have received your generous contribution to support children with disabilities in the Wolisso area.

We sincerely want to say THANK YOU for choosing to stand by the children with disabilities in the Kibera and Wolisso projects, even during this emergency.

The situation in Ethiopia is difficult at present. In addition to coronavirus infections, as you may already know from our newsletter, there is considerable internal unrest. Following the killing of a singer and activist from Oromia, numerous protests have taken place. We are following the situation with concern, trying every day to contact our local partners, although this is difficult because internet access is intermittent. The government switches it on and off as a means of suppressing dissent.
Ethiopia has declared a state of emergency until September. For children with disabilities around Wolisso, this is a very difficult time.

But thanks to your contribution, we reached our fundraising target in recent days!

Thanks to the Irma Romagnoli Foundation, 49 children with disabilities and their families, identified as among those in greatest need by our local partner VCBRA, will receive the assistance needed to face this emergency. They will receive a monthly parcel until August containing flour, pulses, masks, sanitiser and soap.
